Breckenridge and around

Last summer we took a cabin in Breckenridge, CO. Here are some pictures around that cabin.

The Montgomery reservoir, near Hoosier pass, is one of the sources of drinking water to the town of Colorado Springs.

Here are some facts about the Gondola.
It travels around 7500 feet from bottom to top with a vertical rise of 396 feet.
It has 121 cabins and 28 towers and transports around 3,000 travelers an hour on a busy day.

A picture taken from inside the cabin.

Colorado’s first alpine slide began its operation in 1978 in Breckenridge.

The Gondola sounds fascinating and reminds me of the ride I took up a mountain in Switzerland. It was heaven at the top. :)

Well, it's snowing today in Breckenridge, but I do enjoy seeing those summertime photos. I hiked near Montgomery Reservoir this summer, off Hoosier. Great captures - I especially like your perspective on the Gondola.

Spectacular shots of the sky, sea and the mountains. I am usually scared of heights but when I tried those cabins, I had lost of fun. Totally enjoyed the ride. :-)

Great shots. I remember that gondola, maybe I'll get to ride it this winter to go skiing!

This was fun. I was all prepared for untouched nature and then there was these hitech gondolas. Alpine slide looks like just the thing everyone wants to do. I enjoyed your part of the world.
