The Balloons…

Nice summer mornings, here in Colorado Springs, bring balloon enthusiasts to town. They get ready for their ride from the Memorial Park. The sequence of events follows.

Fill the balloon with hot air, take off, do a touch down in the Prospect Lake and start the ride (If they are really unlucky, these touchdowns can result in wet riders).

From the Balloon...
I just lied, the above picture was taken from Rocky mountain during our trip.

How beautiful are these balloons! Their colours brighten the sky and make me want to jump right inside one and fly. Maybe someday I will. Thanks for sharing these inspiring photos. :)

What wonderful pictures you have here, thanks for sharing your beautiful world. I've been on a hot air balloon ride in Luxor, and it was fabulous.

ABsolutely breath-taking; I say that while I am confidently standing on the ground. I think they are gorgeous, however, I wouldn't want to ride in one!

Great shots. I love the close-up of the balloon right above the lake.

A ballooning event is a photographers dream. All that activity and color...and usually early morning or early evening light. What fun you must have had. Your photos are beautiful.
